This scholarship honors the decades of commitment and impact that Clark Bradley had upon western horsemanship and reining within the IHSA. Clark Bradley was the coach of the University of Findlay Western team for over 30 years. He was an instructor, team coach, competitor and judge. During Bradley’s tenure at the University of Findlay, the Western team won seven IHSA/American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) Team National Championships and had five AQHA High-Point Open Rider National Champions.
In 2001, Bradley was named the AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year. He was inducted into the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Hall of Fame and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress Hall of Fame.
As a competitor, Bradley won numerous All-American Quarter Horse Congress Championships in Western pleasure, reining, roping, ranch riding, cutting and versatility. He was a two-time NRHA Futurity champion.
This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving collegiate rider competing in the western divisions.
Students seeking to be considered for this award should complete the IEF scholarship application. This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded annually. It is made possible by the generous support of McHugh Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat in Zanesville, Ohio.
